In honor of the recent Independence Day holiday, we sang “Yankee Doodle,” with a special verse written by Kim.

Fines, Happy Bucks, Confessions:
- Richard had a happy buck to celebrate his and Wynette’s new status as members.
- Eric’s grandson hit a home run in a recent game, prompting a happy buck.
- Dianne enjoyed a fun weekend at the cottage with her family.  Got to see her brother and spend some time with Joey.
- Dianne also confessed to omitting Mark’s name when she announced the new board of directors at the changeover picnic.
- Pam pitched in a happy buck because the changeover picnic actually came out a few dollars ahead, after factoring in the 50/50.

Notes and Updates for the Club:
• On August 1 our new District Governor, Gaven Hurley, will be making his official club visit.  That meeting will be at the American Legion, as usual.
• Rotary Red Wings day is Saturday, August 18 vs the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.  Game time is 7:05pm, with fireworks after the game.  More info is available at the district website, or contact Bill Dean.  Deadline for orders is August 7.
• Fair booth sign-up has begun.  Saturday is always the hardest day to fill, so please consider helping out by taking a shift that day.
• The committee list for 2012-2013 has been distributed.  Please contact Dianne with any questions or concerns.
