The 4th annual Murder Mystery Dinner to benefit Camp Onseyawa took place this past Saturday at the Palmyra VFW.  This year’s play “Speakeasy” was written by Gary Hopkins and Marie Fessler.  The event was a great success, raising $1,500 for Camp Onseyawa.

Notes and Updates for the Club:
- The annual Wayne County Rotary Spelling Bee to benefit Literacy Volunteers is February 1.  Once again this year, Pat VerPlank is generously sponsoring our club’s team.  The Interact club was unable to field a team this year.
- Once again this year members of our club will be passing out Valentines to resident at the Wayne County Nursing Home.  If you would like to be one of those members, Bob Yost would love to hear from you.  Valentine’s Day is Friday, February 14.
- The proposed Club Officers for the Rotary Year 2014-2015, as listed in last week’s Crier, was approved.
- Remember that the next meeting, Feb 5, will be at Mark’s Pizzeria in Palmyra.  There will be no lunch meeting on Feb 12; our annual Dessert Foundation Fundraiser will be that evening at 6pm at Parkwood Heights in Macedon.

Barb Harper was on hand today to remind us that “You MOOSE Come to Burlington” for the District Conference, May 2-4.  Cost is $394 per couple ($197 single).  There is a $25 discount for first-time attendees, or if you register before March 1.  For information on the conference or to register, visit the District Conference webpage.

Jim Murray was inducted into our club at today’s assembly.  Here we see Jim’s sponsor, Gary
Hopkins, presenting him with his very own Pal-Mac Rotary apron, suitable for all occasions.

The monthly assembly auction today raised $71 for the Rotary Foundation.  Thank you for your generous bids, and congratulations to the winners.
