Everyone who attended, Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike had a great time at our 2nd annual Dessert Foundation party. We charge a $5 admission to the event for each Rotarian - this is used for our member's Strive for $5 donation. Rotarians are welcome to bring guests for free in order to introduce them to Rotary in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Rotarians were asked to make 2 of the same dessert: one to sample and one to auction off.

Here's how the evening went:

The sampling of desserts along with coffee and drinks began. (We put the experts on the job for this!)

Next, Pal-Mac President Dianne Sloan gave a brief presentation on what we do here locally, but also more importantly for this event, what the Rotary Foundation is and some examples of the things made possible around the world through donations, such as the money raised that evening.

After some more time to sample and socialize, the auction began! Since everyone was able to sample the goodies before the auction, several people had their eyes on specific desserts. The bidding was spirited and fun - thanks to auctioneers Mark and Kim Clement, both Pal-Mac Rotarians.

Through this event, our club was able to raise over $600 toward our annual Rotary Foundation donation. It's safe to say that a great time was had by everyone!
