Fines, Happy Bucks and Confessions:
• Leslie confessed that she could only work one of her shifts at the Fair, but that was due to her recovery from surgery (which led to a happy buck for the recovery).
• Dianne had a happy buck for the arrival of our inbound exchange student for this year, Sofia.  Tina and Tom matched that buck.
• Jenn had a really nice time on a vacation last week.  Also, she is expecting another child, due on Leap Day next year!
• Bob Yost had a happy buck for President Mark, who was supposed to be on his way to California, but was stuck in the airport due to mechanical problems with the plane.  Bob said, being a member of the FA Club, that’s worth a buck.  Eric and Tom matched the buck.
• Andy took his family for a short visit to Washington, DC.  They had a very nice time.
• Bob Sloan had a happy buck.  While at the cottage, looking out the window, they saw two Golden Eagles.  These birds are not widely seen in this area, and it was “really neat” for the family.

Notes and Updates for the Club:

- Tickets for this year’s Canaltown Day Drawing fundraiser have been distributed; if you need more tickets to sell, please contact Tom Breen.  Each Rotarian/Couple is encouraged to sell 10 books of tickets.  We have many great prizes again this year.  A signup sheet will for Canaltown Days weekend will be passed around.  Please help out if you can.

- If you signed up for the Bills game excursion, and have not yet sent your payment to Eric, he asks that you please do so.

- The Purple Painted Lady Barn Sale is coming up Saturday, September 26.  Again this year, our club is handling the parking for the event.  A signup sheet is being passed and we need lots of help.  Last year, we raised over $3000 from this one-day event.  If you can, please sign up to help out – it’s been a fun and profitable event for us in the past.

- Sofia started off her exchange with us on the right foot, winning $12 in this week’s 50/50 drawing.
