Notes and Updates for the Club:
- Tickets for the club’s Canaltown Days fundraiser are still available, in case you didn’t get yours or need more.  A sign-up sheet was started for volunteers to man the tent at Canaltown Days.  Joan and Ruth will be selling tickets at Breen’s on Saturday, 8/30.  Also, Breen’s is offering the tickets for sale at the service desk.
- Bob Yost invites you to attend the annual “Party on the Porch” at his home on Main Street, Saturday 9/13 during Canaltown Days.
- Reminder:  club dues are due.  As always, you may opt to pay half dues now and the balance in January.  If you’ve not made a payment, Margaret would love to hear from you.  Or, you can mail to the club at 611 E Main St, Palmyra, NY 14522
- A sign-up sheet is circulating for the Purple Painted Lady parking fundraiser.  This has grown into a real money-maker for the club, and your help is appreciated.  The event is Saturday, September 20.
- Kim offered a mini update on the Fair Booth.  She wanted to thank Gary Hopkins for building the drop shelf for the cash register and Bob Yost for extending the sink drain to the floor, avoiding puddles.  Final numbers are not in yet, but she estimates the booth raised around $5,000 this year.

We were joined today by Morgan Szczepanski.  Morgan was our club's RYLA nominee this year.  RYLA, the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, provides thousands of young adults around the world the chance to attend seminars, camps, and workshops where leadership skills are discussed and learned through practice.  Morgan attended the RYLA seminar this summer at RIT, and shared some of her experiences and lessons learned.  She is pictured above, with her father Steve on her left, and on her right, club president Bob Yost and our inbound exchange student, Jonas Ivanoc.

Jonas started off his year with us on a good note; he won $12 in this week's 50/50 drawing.
