Fines, Happy Bucks, Confessions:
- Bob Ike confessed to a very nice trip to Florida, and apologized to Joey for the continuing lack of snow days, despite the brief return visit of Old Man Winter last Monday.  There are still a few weeks left in the school year, though, so there is still hope, Joey!
- John Denniston spent some time at Mandolin Camp.  (Yes, there really is such a thing!)  He also recently purchased a new vehicle.
- Gene admitted to missing a few meetings here recently, but was happy to report 20 make-ups during his Florida stay.
- Dave Nagle(!) confessed to a trip to Myrtle Beach, and happy-bucked for his son making Honor Roll.
- Mom Margaret offered a happy buck for the Cowlick’s successful opening weekend.
- Joan gave a happy buck because Gene and Shirley stopped in a flag store and brought back a Steelers flag for her.
- Tom pitched in a buck because Gene and Shirley did not bring him a Steelers flag.
- Kim and Mark gave happy bucks in honor of  their trip to Boston to help Dan move to a new apartment.  Despite a few issues in the move, all turned out well.
- Cindy celebrated the fact that she is no longer a sub; she now has her very own bus route.
- Peter spent some time in Florida, visiting his parents, and was very happy to see his children spend time with their grandparents.
- Dave Pray visited his son in Washington, DC.
- Anne had a nice trip to Florida, which involved a wedding.
- Eric confessed to two weeks in Aruba, and was un-phased by the heavy fines levied by our past-presidents, as he had the exempt button.

Club Business:
The club directory is being updated, and was passed around for members to make changes as needed.  The information in the club directory is uploaded to the district for its website and is included in the annual district directory.

Over the last few months, there have been some difficulties with scheduling programs. In an effort to remedy this, club members will be assigned specific meeting dates, for which they will be responsible to schedule a program.  Members will be assigned in order, alphabetically, beginning with the first meeting in June:
     June 6    Gene Bassage
     June 13   Tom Breen
     July 11    Bob Culver

Eric reminded us that April was Rotarian Magazine month.  A subscription to this magazine is part of your membership dues.  The Rotarian is a valuable resource to all club members and is the official magazine of RI.  As such it provide news of what’s happening at Rotary International.  There are many interesting stories detailing projects of clubs around the world.  It can also serve as a good recruiting tool.  When you have finished reading your copy, pass it along to a friend or neighbor, or pass it on to a professional to place in their waiting area.

President Eric reminds us of the great value that is a Rotarian Magazine subscription.

Assembly Auction:

The exempt button for May was purchased by Dianne Sloan with a winning bid of $12.00
Margaret donated a Cowlick gift certificate, which was snapped up by visiting student Mitch Falanga.  Said he, "I love Cowlick!"
Gene and Shirley went home with a blueberry cake, baked by Dianne, and a Breen’s Market baseball cap.
Dave Nagle(!) won a second Dianne Sloan Blueberry Cake.
Somebody else had the winning bid on a Breen’s gift certificate, but by that time this reporter was too confused to record the winner.  If it was you, please let me know so you can get credit!  Now, we’ll see who actually reads this thing, right?

Dave Nagle(!) was the winner of this week’s 50/50 drawing, and donated his $13 winnings to Joey for use on her upcoming trip to D.C.
