Please excuse the delay in the Crier.. Technical problems

Anne Morrell presented speaker Linda Prince  Apologies foe lack of photos.  Accidentally deleted.

Linda told us how back in 1991 she and her husband awaited the birth of a healthy baby. After giving birth the child was immediately taken to the NICU where he stayed for 2 weeks. Jacob was then diagnosed as mentally retarded.(Back then the retarded label was accepted)  Now he has been diagnosed on the Autism spectrum .  The family moved to this area because of the programs available here.  Jacob now 28 has thrived.  Linda is the Pastor’s Wife at Cross Creek Church in Palmyra and was approached by Tim Tebow who started A Night to Shine in 2015.  This event is a dance for special children and adults of all abilities.  Events include a limo ride and karaoke.  There will be a 94 year old woman attending this year.  Every participant is crowned Prom King or Queen and enters on a red carpet.
The Cross Creek Church has agreed to hold the Night to Shine on Feb. 8, 2019.The church is in need of donated men’s suits and fancy dresses that can be dropped off at the church.  They are also in need of volunteers to be buddies, paparazzi and helpers.  If you can help please go to their website at  nighttoshine@crosscreek.church to offer your support.
