Sycamore Rotarians took time out from their usual meeting to begin planning for the upcoming year; new Club President Eric Jones plans to make time available during regular meetings, so that Rotarians can discuss committee business without having to convene on their own time.
Plans call for having seven overarching committees; each will oversee projects under their purview, and will only set up dedicated committees for projects which require one. The idea is to make all projects operate in a cohesive manner, rather than spreading responsibilities among varying subcommittees with scattered oversight. All reports to the Board of Directors would go through the appropriate committee chair.
The assigned Committee Chairs for the upcoming year:
New Generations -- Julie Sgarlata
Service Projects -- Ray Dembinski
Membership -- Sally Bruch
Foundation and Grants -- Paul Stromborg
Public Image -- Brian Adams
Club Fellowship -- Chad Jewett
Fundraising -- to be determined
Please direct any questions concerning a particular project or area of concern to the appropriate Committee Chair.
A new Facebook discussion group for Sycamore Rotarians and the community at large has officially come on line.
This group is open to the general public, as well as Rotarians; it will serve as a venue for discussion about what Rotary does, how you can get Rotary to help you or your organization, and how you can become a member.
