The Northwest Quarterly

We welcomed Chris Linden from the Northwest Quarterly.  The publication was started in 2004 by Bill Hughes and covers 16 counties including McHenry towards Chicago.  Chris started there 10 years ago as an intern and became a regular staff member two years later.  There are four publications:  The Northwest Quarterly is the flagship with a similar publication for the Chicago area over in McHenry County.  They also have an annual publication and a weekly mailer, known as "Smart Living".  Chris says he's always been a writer, starting with the school paper at Guilford and proceeding to get his undergraduate degree from Millikin in Journalism and Politics.  Their office is in the Midtown District and they like to celebrate the theme "buy local", with their magazine featuring local individuals and local businesses.  Thanks for visiting Loves Park Rotary, Chris.
