Our guests were Steve Kuhn, the District Governor Nominee from Sycamore, and two teachers from Chile, Miriam and Martha.  As a veteran, Steve appreciates the contribution of our Armed Forces so he passes out Rotary veterans pins wherever he goes, including Loves Park.  However, the main reason he was visiting our club was to introduce Miriam and Martha, two teachers from Chile.  He was part of a vocational training team that sent six teachers to Chile to help local teachers with their English.  Miriam and Martha both teach English in Combarbala, Chile which is largely a rural area.  When our team visited them, they were invited to the U.S. to visit.  Some money was raised by several clubs, Loves Park being one of them, so they were able to come spend some time with us and thank us.  They brought a present for our club and presented it to President, Will Geske.  Steve said the vocational training teams are still active and the district currently has one in Uganda.  Thanks, Steve, for bringing such nice visitors.
