Many of us know that long-time Rotarian, Jack Wonderlick, is a retired oral surgeon.  What some may not know is that he is also a certified ski instructor.  He has worked with young children and even someone in his 70’s.  Jack brought in some of the basic equipment needed such as a helmet, goggles, boots, poles and skis and demonstrated them for us.  He talked about some of the changes and advancements in equipment over the years and gave us some tips on getting started.  He showed us the proper techniques for making turns and slowing down and also talked about some of the things not to do.  For example, based on experience, he said there is a “right way” to get on or off the ski lift.  The talk was entertaining, instructive and a lot of fun.  Thanks, Jack, for the “lift”.
