ROTARY READERS

With the students now being back in school, you have an opportunity to impact the life of a child. Beginning last winter the Loves Park/815 Rotary Club entered into a partnership with Rock Cut Elementary School to be Reading Buddies for students at the school.  We have again partnered with the school for the 2023-2024 academic year.
 
This is a low impact commitment of your time and can make a significant difference for a first through sixth grade child. Most of these children do not have reading issues, but rather, need  interaction with an adult one-on-one.  I know that my second grade Reading Buddy last year was significantly late for school everyday, expect on Wednesday when I came to be his Reading Buddy.
 
Sessions are scheduled for one half hour between the hours of 8:25 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  All I am asking for is a half hour commitment one day a week.  If you would like to volunteer for more sessions, that would be great.
