Club Projects
Rotarians congratulate second-grade students who won CARE Award at our annual Claire's Day in 2022.One of our areas of focus for local giving is early childhood development.
  • Our Preschool Scholarship Endowment Fund provides grants to assist with the cost of preschool education for 3- and 4-year-olds in Midland County.
  • We sponsor an annual Claire's Day celebration to recognize educators and second grade students in Midland County for reading achievement (pictured left.)
  • We earmark a portion of our local grants budget for projects that contribute to advancing early childhood development in our surrounding communities.
Sue Moody, Fundraising Chair, delivers a sweet surprise to a lucky recipient during our annual Valentine's fundraiser. An important part of our mission as Rotarians is raising the funds to support our local and international grants and service projects.
  • In February, we sell roses and chocolates and deliver them to designated recipients on Valentine's Day (pictured left.) Your loved one receives a thoughtful gift, and our community receives help and support.
  • Our annual Rhythm and Blues festival in September brings food, fun, beer, wine and music to downtown Midland.
  • We partner with the Rotary Club of Midland to sell food and beverages at the Riverdays Festival in Midland in July.

Rotarians and their families celebrated Earth Day 2022 by eradicating invasive plant species near the creek bed at West Midland Family Center. One of Rotary International's seven Areas of Focus is protecting the environment. The Rotary Club of Midland Morning supports this focus by participating in annual Earth Day cleanup projects. In recent years, our District, 6310, has challenged Clubs to complete projects that benefit the Great Lakes Bay watershed. We have responded by:

  • Cleaning up flood debris along the Tittabawassee River in Sanford
  • Eradicating invasive species along the creek bed at West Midland Family Center (pictured left.)
Club members delivered care packages, appreciation and cheer to first responders who were working during the Christmas and New Year holidays.Rotarians are generous throughout the year, but our Club kicks it into high gear during the holiday season. Some of our past holiday giving projects include:
  • Contributing to the Midland County Emergency Food Pantry's Thanksgiving Baskets for families in need.
  • Ringing bells at the Midland Mall to raise funds for the Salvation Army.
  • Providing servers and entertainment for the annual Christmas Dinner at the North Midland Family Center.
  • Providing care packages to local first responders who are working during the holidays (pictured left.)
