“One of the goals of Rotary is find ways to help the plight of people in dire conditions – in our backyard and around the world,” said Hadaway. “This is our chance to make an impact, even in a small way. We are excited about what we accomplished.”

Rise Against Hunger believes that everyone on the planet has the right to the nutrition necessary to live life to his or her full potential. Since 2005, these package meals have been used mainly to support school feeding programs in developing countries. The meals packaged on November 1 will be used as a safety net that provides nourishment to support school attendance or during times of emergencies and crisis.

Frankenmuth’s Noon Rotary meets in the lower level of Zehnder’s each Thursday at noon. Perspective members are encouraged to reach out to existing Rotarians or visit their website at portal.clubrunner.ca/5731 for additional information.
