Waukesha Rotary Charitable Fund, a Waukesha County-based 501 (c) 3 organization, seeks proposals from qualified individuals and/or firms for a contract to provide accounting services. If you know of someone who might be interested in this position, please have them submit their proposal to KathyG@ErasWaukesha.org no later than close of business on January 31, 2019. The officers of the Charitable Board will present a recommendation regarding the choice of a firm to the full Charitable Board of Directors no later than February 28, 2019. The Waukesha Rotary Club’s Charitable Fund has committed to a $45,000 donation over the next three years to assist in developing new outdoor educational components that will be accessible for all ages and abilities at Retzer Nature Center. Steve Brunner and Rebecca Mattano will be presenting a program to our club members on 2/4/19. Please plan on attending this meeting to learn more about this project - bring your questions.

We are very grateful to everyone who participated in this year's Creative Fining. Our Charitable Fund took in $3,283.00 this year. A big thank you to Catherine Huelsman for planning this year's activity.
As you may recall, the Waukesha Rotary Club received a $3,000 district grant to apply to a joint reading program between our club and Horning Middle School. The first session was a great success and we are excited to be holding the second book discussion on April 11th from 5-7:00 PM. Books have been ordered for the following members: Michelle Morgan, Cathy Priem, Cindy Robinson, Paul Hoefle, Wendy Dahl, Karen Tredwell, Lori Kasun, Tammy Perez, Mary Baer, Gary Olsen, Pete Bosch, Ken Genin, Shelly Tallinger, Jerry Chudzik, Kathy Gale, Rick Kobriger and Cathy Waller. Thank you to everyone involved in making this a huge success!
On Monday, February 18, we will be holding our monthly raffle for PolioPlus. Thank you to Mary Baer for supplying our raffle items that day. All proceeds will go towards RI's PolioPlus program. Tickets are $1 ea or 6 for $5.
What is PolioPlus? Eradicating the world of polio is Rotary International's #1 goal. Rotary members have played a key role in bringing the world to the brink of polio eradication. Our efforts have ended polio in 122 countries, reducing the number of polio cases by 99.9% since our program started in 1985. Our club's goal this year is to contribute $1,500 towards this goal. You support our efforts by purchasing raffle tickets. Please purchase a couple of tickets and help save lives. (Total this year: $659. $841 to go by June 1st.)
