We are excited to have three new members join our ranks. Please continue to use your networking skills to bring new members to our club. Share the gift of Rotary!
WEEKLY CLUB ASSIGNMENTS:
Please keep reading your weekly emails for our club assignments.
NEW: "Share Rotary." When you see your name on this list for weekly assignments, you will be asked to bring a guest to lunch that week. Lunch for the guest is on the club! This will serve two purposes:
- We would hope that your guest is a potential new member for our club
- Even if that guest does not fill out an application, we will have promoted the name of Rotary and its good works to "one more person."
Please start thinking of who that guest will be now so that when it's your turn, you'll be all prepared. If you want to bring someone before your name comes up, absolutely bring them sooner.
This week's assignments:
Greeter: Paul Bugenhagen
Invocation: Catherine Huelsman
Pledge: Sarah Butz
4-Way Test: Lori Kasun
Share Rotary: Rick Verthein
CLUB EVENTS:
These are listed over here
You can view the whole list by clicking on "View Entire List." These will be updated as more information becomes available.
PANCAKE FESTIVAL AND BLUESFEST:
These are our club's two largest fundraisers. Our pancake festival is coming up on April 2nd and BluesFest will be held August 12 and 13. Two requests:
- Please mark these two events on your personal calendar now. We will need volunteers for both of these events.
- Both of these events rely on sponsorships. If you are able to sponsor or know of someone who would be willing to help us out, please contact Ken Genin kwgenin@gmail.com for the Pancake Festival and Rick Kobriger rickkobriger@aol.com for BluesFest. This is not a 2-person job. We need everyone's help to provide leads.
CREATIVE FINING:
The kickoff for the 2021-22 collection began at our Valentine's Day meeting on February 14th. Our goal this year is to match last year's collection of $5,000. To achieve this, we will need every member's participation. Start your "end of year" giving early with a donation to your favorite foundation: The Waukesha Rotary Club Charitable Fund, Inc. If you have not already done so, please mail your check today to: The Waukesha Rotary Club, P.O. Box 1876, Waukesha, WI 53187. Or bring your check to a Monday meeting. All funds go to our foundation for distribution to the Waukesha Community and beyond (think international, as in Rotary International). Your donation is greatly appreciated!
100th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION:
Come and celebrate with us as we remember 100 years of Service Above Self at Tuscan Hall in Waukesha on March 31st. CLICK HERE for a copy of our invitation to this once in a lifetime event for our club. Questions? Please contact Colleen.
WAUKESHA ROTARY CLUB CHARITABLE FUND:
Our foundation is now accepting applications for funding for 2021/22. All applications are due by April 1st, 2022. Please see our website menu and click on WRC Charitable Fund, Inc. for more information
