DISTRICT GRANT 2023/24
Our club's 2023/24 district grant application has been approved. We will be working on a project with the Girl Scouts to rehab/refurnish the educational area at camp. Keep watching your emails for details on our timeline and how you can participate.
WHILE CLEANING OUT SOME FILES...
Most of our "older" members remember our Past President Mary Jannsen. He wrote a letter dated June 21, 2005 to:
The Rotarians of the World February 23, 2105.
It goes like this:
"The Waukesha Rotary Club extends its congratulations on the celebration of the completion of Rotary International's second century of service.
During our 84 years of existence, we have completed many domestic and international projects. We have provided financial assistance to many local charities over the years. Our club is committed to having Every Rotarian Every Year contribute $100 to The Rotary Foundation. I suppose that $100 will not be worth much in 2105.
We pray that Rotary International through its efforts in the second century completed the eradication of polio and assisted in providing clean water to the entire world. We dream that Rotary's numerous youth programs flourished and expanded to facilitate bringing peace throughout the world."

Marty would be happy to know that we, the members of the Waukesha Rotary Club, are striving to achieve the very same things that he talks about in this letter:
- completing both domestic and international projects
- committing to the EREY contributions of $100 per year to the Rotary Foundation
- continuing our pledge of $1,500/year to the PolioPlus drive
- joining forces with other clubs to provide clean water around the world
- working with our youth: Interact at Waukesha West, World Affairs Seminar scholarships and our Student Speaker Program/Scholarship
Our theme this year is, "Create Hope in the World." We continue to hope that through our Service Above Self, we can help facilitate and bring about peace throughout our world. Thank you, Marty, for this great reminder!!!
