Tyrotarian Tour: Jones Island

World-renowned for pioneering the way in modern wastewater treatment technology, Jones Island was one of the first facilities in the world to produce a fertilizer as the by-product of the water reclamation process: Milorganite. 

This tour has been rescehdueld to Thursday, May 2nd at 8:00 am and learn about the history of Jones Island, their water reclamation process, the making of Milorganite, and how individuals can do their part to help protect Lake Michigan.
