Community Service:
Community Service encourages every Rotarian to find ways to improve the quality of life for people in their communities and to serve the public interest.
- Quarry Hill Fall Festival
- Work with Quarry Hill Nature Hill staff to coordinate volunteer shifts in the food tent for Quarry Hill's Fall Festival, taking place the second weekend in September.
- Rotary Bell Ringing - Salvation Army
- Work with the Rochester Salvation Army to coordinate bell ringing shifts for members and friends of The Rotary Club of Rochester.
- Rotary Holiday Classic
- Work with members from Rochester Rotary Risers and Greater Rochester Rotary to plan and coordinate this annual three club fundraiser.
- Service Above Self Awards
- Work with Century, Lourdes, John Marshall, and Mayo and ALC high schools to determine four high school students to honor for their demonstration of exemplary humanitarian service with an emphasis on personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping others.
- Student Guests
- Work with members to recognize their graduating family members.
- White Oaks Park
- Work with the City of Rochester, members and friends of The Rotary Club of Rochester to coordinate volunteers for the third Wednesday of each month, April - October, to make sure the park is clean and safe.
