On Thursday, April 28, The Rotary Club of Rochester will hold a traditional mid-day meeting beginning at noon at the Even Hotel, 101 11th AVE SW, Rochester.

Registration: Register by noon on Tuesday, April 26 to purchase lunch for $20. Lunch can also be purchased for $25 the day of the meeting. You are also welcome to attend the meeting without purchasing lunch, but still register so the room can be set for the appropriate number of people planning to attend. If you decide to attend at the last minute, no worries, you're still more than welcome to attend the meeting.

The Rochester Rotary Clubs are sponsoring a male foreign exchange student, Ruben, from Spain to attend Mayo High School during the 2022-23 school year. During the school year, three families within the same high school attendance area (or able to provide transport if outside the area) are needed to host the student from mid-August – early June (approximately August-November, December-March, March-June). The exchange student does not require their own room, as they can share a room with a host sibling of the same gender as long as they have their own bed. A proper place to study is also needed and they are required to attend school. The three Rotary Clubs in Rochester have given $19,100 in grants to area youth-related organizations from the proceeds of the 2021 Rotary Holiday Classic basketball tournament held December 28-29 at the Mayo Civic Center. For more than 30 years, the Holiday Classic has been a labor of love for Rochester Rotarians allowing members to fulfill their motto of “Service Above Self” by generating more than $1,000,000 in grants for area youth-related organizations. This is a credit to the Classic's sponsors and advertisers, participating teams, and the fans who enjoy seeing great high school basketball!
Youth-related non-profits made grant requests of $84,800 to the Rotary Clubs. Awards were given to the following:

Mark your calendars for the 2022 Rotary Holiday Classic which will be held December 29-30 at the Mayo Civic Center and will involve 12 boys and 12 girls high school teams from Southeastern Minnesota and beyond.
Join the Rotary Clubs of St. Paul Sunrise, Minneapolis City of Lakes, and Roseville on Thursday, April 28th from 7:15am - 9:15am, at the Women’s Club of Minneapolis for the16th Annual Forum, Perspectives: Creating a Safe and Just Community Together. In response to the deepening humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, Rotary International has created an official channel for contributions to support the relief efforts underway by Rotary districts.

A $100 Kwik Trip card immediately creates $5 for the club and any in-store purchases creates another 5% donation.If you would like to purchase Scrip cards, send an email to romnrotary@gmail.com with how many and what denomination you'd like. In additional to Kwik Trip, Scrip cards are also available to Apollo Liquor and Menards. The cards are purchased at face value, but the club receives 5% back from Apollo Liquor and Kwik Trip and 4% back from Menards. The club receives an additional 5% on purchases at Kwik Trip, other than gas, inside the store.
