See the source imageOur World Polio Day 2020 event will be held virtually this year. To mark the progress we have made toward the eradication of polio, Rotary’s significant involvement, and to encourage giving to PolioPlus, the Rotary clubs of Rochester will be publishing information about polio on Facebook all through the month of October. To kick things off, Mayor Kim Norton has issued a proclamation declaring October 24 World Polio Day in Rochester! Check out the video on the Rotary Clubs of Rochester Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Rotary-Clubs-of-Rochester-160532451430335/). Please like and share!

If you have not already “liked” the Rotary Clubs of Rochester and The Rotary Club of Rochester Facebook pages, please do so now so you won't miss out on important information and fun pictures of Rotarians in action!

We are also encouraging Rotarians to change their Facebook profile picture to the official Rotary International “I want to end polio” frame. You can find this frame by searching for “Rotary I want to end polio” on the frames. Alternatively (or concurrently), you can change your profile picture to a “this close” picture with your thumb and forefinger.

Other opportunities to acknowledge World Polio Day are:
  • Read the latest Rotarian magazine and pass it on for someone else to enjoy.
