Cradle 2 Career Education Summit
October 29 | 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. | Mayo Civic Center
Cradle 2 Career will host its annual Education Summit in late October and is looking for Rotarians to help with a variety of volunteer opportunities. Click on the "Read More" button to view the opportunities and consider where your time and talents might fit best:
- Sign-up for a volunteer role.
- Register for the event. Please register by October 15 (or as soon as possible), as space is limited and the event may fill quickly.
Volunteer Opportunities
Before Event Set-Up (October 23, 1:00–4:00 pm, 4 volunteers)
Prepare materials by putting together packets, organizing name tags, and sorting supplies for breakout sessions.
Skills: organization, attention to detail.
Physical demands: mostly seated work, light lifting.

Morning Set-Up (October 29, 8:00–9:00 am, 4 volunteers)
Carry event supplies to rooms and make sure each space is ready for participants.

Photo Op Assistants (October 29, 8:30–10:00 am; 12:30–2:00 pm; 4:10–5:00 pm, 2 volunteers per slot)
Assist the photographer by handing out props, guiding people into place, and encouraging guests to take photos and share them online.
Skills: friendliness, people skills.
Physical demands: standing and walking, light handling of props.

Session Room Attendants (October 29, 9 volunteers, one per room)
Manage a presentation room by keeping time, assisting presenters with small needs, opening/closing doors, tidying between sessions, and counting attendees.
Skills: time management, attentiveness, polite communication.
Physical demands: mostly sitting/standing, light walking.

Traffic Controllers (October 29, 12:35–1:30 pm, 3 volunteers)
Direct guests to restrooms, registration, lunch, and other locations.

Cool Down & Connect Assistants (October 29, 4:10–5:00 pm, volunteers needed)
