The Rotary Club of Rochester is delighted to prepare to organize and launch a second cohort of the Mentorship Program for Young Professionals! This program was created to pair a mentee (young professional in training or active in any career) with a Rotarian mentor to exchange experiences, explore areas of expertise and acquire skills for personal, professional and/or community development. With this iteration (version 2.0), the program’s primary objective will be to promote reverse mentoring, encouraging the mentor-mentee pairs to experience bidirectional learning and cultivate a culture of constructive feedback that will further develop emotional intelligence on mentors and mentees.
Some of this year’s activities will include group meetings with visiting speakers, volunteering opportunities, and a summer picnic. Aside from these group activities, mentors and mentees are expected to meet individually at least once a month (or more frequently as they deem helpful).
If you are interested in participating as a Rotarian mentor, please contact Chersten Keillor at romnrotary@gmail.com and/or Dr. Mariana Gonzalez Trevino at marianagzzt95@gmail.com before September 18.
The Mentorship Program will officially kick-off November 16 at Twigs at Centerstone Plaza and our farewell picnic at Soldiers Field Park Shelter in May 2024. We are looking forward to your support and participation!
