Meet and Greet with DG Paul Perez

District Governor Paul Perez visit on August 22!

DG Paul will be the main speaker at the 3-club meeting held at the Mayo Civic Center, 11:30 am - 1 pm. We encourage you, as well, to join fellow Rotarians, guests, and a few of the Rotary District representatives at Herring Gardens that evening for a "Meet and Greet."
 
Attendees are asked to register so we know how much food to purchase. However, if you become available last minute, still feel welcome to join us.

Free admission; however, there will be a free-will donation box for the garden owner. This is the privately owned garden of Mary Herring and late Vince Herring of Herring Art and Frame.

Menu: Pizza by the slice ($3 per slice range) or brown-bagging is okay, too. Treats, bars or sides welcome if you wish to donate goodies for the group.
Beverages:  Bring your own soft drinks, beer, wine or other drinks.
Directions: South on Hwy 63. Go past 48th St SE (Fleet Farm exit). Turn on the first road on the left. You will see American flags along the driveway. The dirt driveway splits, take a sharp right turn and go up the hill.  
Parking:  Free parking, but limited so carpooling is suggested.
Other notes:  There are no public restrooms available. The walking paths provide a beautiful look at this amazing blooming park and artistry. There is a walking path directly to the shelter area and it has a moderate incline. The winding paths through the garden consist of smooth pavers and one short path made of flagstone, not a smooth walking surface.
In case of rain:  If we see that rain is going to dampen our event, the back room at Godfather's Pizza is reserved. They sell beer and soft drinks. so drinks must be purchased at that location. If rain is an issue, we will send an email to members by 3 pm letting them know of the location change.
