Fourth Thursday Mid-day Rotary Meeting

A buffet lunch is available at the Even Hotel for $21 for those who register by noon the Tuesday prior to the meeting. Lunch is available for $26 the day of the meeting however we do need you to register on-line if you plan to eat. This will ensure we have an accurate head count for food.

Program: "Partnering to improve indoor air quality and environmental risk awareness in Guatemala"

Over 230 vented cooking stoves and 1000 family members in San Lucas Toliman region have benefited from an extended Rotary-sponsored project. Originating as a result of listening to the needs of the local field team and regional community health promoters between 2005-2015, the subsequent District-sponsored pilot program of 25 stoves was completed by 2017 and a global grant for installing additional 200 stoves was done by 2023. Presenters will highlight the key lessons learned and the power of international collaboration between Rotarians, educators, health promoters, and philanthropy in transforming lives, engaging communities and helping families breathe easier.
