The Rotary Club of Omaha Impacts Community
Nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organizations operating in Douglas County and the surrounding area may now submit grant applications to the Omaha Downtown Rotary Foundation (ODRF) for grant awards in 2022.
 
ODRF is a non-profit for the purpose to carry out the community service projects of the Rotary Club of Omaha. Grant seekers must submit an online application by May 1, 2022, click here for the electronic form or copy/paste this link to your browser: https://forms.gle/2NH9gBLE5qo4Ju3R6
 
In 2021, in addition to supporting the Rotary Club of Omaha Scholarship Program, ODRF awarded $26,000 in grants to twelve nonprofit organizations for an average grant amount of approximately $2,000. Grants awarded ranged from $1000 to $5,000. ODRF encourages organizations with programming and services emphasizing education, veterans, and senior citizens to apply.

Our goal is to receive proposals from all parts of the city and award grants to organizations that focus on education and services supporting veterans and senior citizens, said Aileen Warren, president of the Rotary Club of Omaha. “We have a strong commitment to supporting organizations addressing important issues and opportunities within our community.”
 
Applicant organizations can expect to learn the outcome of their request by mid-June and a representative of the organization is expected to attend a Rotary Club of Omaha weekly meeting for the awarding of their grant at a date to be determined.

The Rotary Club of Omaha was founded on August 4, 1911 and affiliated with the National Association of Rotary Clubs in March of 1912. As Rotary Club #37, our club has the distinction of being one of the first hundred Rotary clubs. Our membership represents a significant cross-section of community leadership and a strong commitment to the growth and welfare of our city.
That commitment is carried out by our members through a range of committees, each focusing on specific avenues of service. The Omaha Downtown Rotary Club Foundation is a non-profit for the purpose to carry out the community service projects of the Rotary Club of Omaha. The Club Foundation also provides community grants emphasizing educational opportunities, veteran services and senior citizens.
