Lucy Charvat, Therapeutic Riding Instructor for HETRA Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy (HETRA) was started in 1989 by Steve and Janet Henthorn of Omaha, Nebraska. The program started with one participant, one horse, and three volunteers. Their mission is to improve the quality of life both physically and emotionally of adults and children of all ability levels through equine-assisted activities. They now have 28 wonderful therapy horses, 16 PATH, Intl. certified instructors, 10 licensed occupational physical and mental health therapists, and over 150 participants. They also offer services in Adaptive Riding (formerly know as Therapeutic Riding), Therapy Services – specializing in Hippotherapy, Equine Services for Veterans, Adaptive Carriage Driving, Equine-Assisted Learning, Equine-Assisted Mental Health Sessions, and Life Skills Training.
Joy Bartling, Executive Director for Scatter Joy Acres In the fall of 2006 Soby Ranch Ministry (SRM) was founded by Joy Bartling. The vision was that the Ranch would be “A Place of Rescue and A Journey to Peace.” SRM became a non-profit in 2009. Joy Served as Executive Director at SRM from 2006 through the summer of 2014. In the summer of 2014, Soby Ranch Ministry transitioned to “Scatter Joy Acres” Joy Moved to a new location with 27 acres and lots of room for animals and farm/ranch activities; The vision remains the same.
Beth Kramer, Executive Director for AtEase USA At Ease U.S.A works to provide services to those who experience PTSD and their families. The organization was founded to work with veterans, but has expanded its services to include everyone.
Leah Boldt, Executive Director for Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands
The Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands is committed to connecting those touched by Down syndrome through education, advocacy and support.
The 95th Honor Roll Program was held virtually on May 11, 2022, and it was a huge success this year with 403 Honor Roll students coming from 52 middle schools. Our keynote speaker was Alexander Payne, a past Honor Roll awardee himself, who is is an award-winning American director, screenwriter, and producer, who was noted for creating films that mixed sardonic humor with humanistic character-driven drama in prosaic contemporary settings. Other speakers include Rotarians who are past Honor Roll recipients themselves, namely: President Aileen Warren, Hal Daub, and John Ewing. John Knicely of WOWT was master of ceremonies. President-Elect Sean Connolly spoke about the Rotary Scholarship and announced this year's Scholarship recipients as follows:

Stephen Center partners with the community, families and individuals to overcome homelessness, addiction and poverty.
Stephen Center has served the homeless and low-income in Omaha since 1984 through their three programs: Emergency Shelter, HERO Program and Transitional Living Program.
The Omaha Downtown Rotary partners with Stephens Center in serving hot meals to its residents.
