READY, SET, GO! – Omaha Downtown Rotary 2021-2022

Thanks to all who were able to attend the Inaugural Meeting of the Omaha Downtown Rotary for 2021-2022. Our in-person attendance grows weekly and it is also nice to continue to provide the virtual option to our membership.

From all the information shared at our meeting, I am sure you would agree it is going to be a very exciting year. There will be so many opportunities for Rotarians to give their time, talents, and treasures and also have fun while doing it.

Some of the club goals shared by Club leadership included:

• Strengthening the Club’s Public Image
• Creating Inclusivity Committee
• Applying for Global Grant for Operation Hippocrates
• Maintaining Quality Programming
• Providing a variety of Volunteer Opportunities
• Sharing the Rotary Experience by Expanding our Reach to Diverse Occupations via Membership Recruitment
• Supporting the momentum of the South Omaha Initiative
• Offering Business & Social Networking Events

Also announced was our 2021-2022 outlook for the following areas:

  • Club Foundation Goal

Finally, there are so many Rotarians doing good things and we want to make sure to always celebrate and recognize those individuals. PDG Gary Bren awarded Hal Daub with his Paul Harris Fellow +8. PDG Roxy Orr came to recognize Immediate Past President John Sullivan and his leadership team for a great Rotary year. Congratulations to Larry Johansen for his 400% perfect attendance!
