Stacy Winters created the Omaha Food Lovers in August 2019 to share his passion for food and to create a local foodie community where people feel welcome to respectfully discuss all things food. The group has exploded beyond anyone's wildest dreams. Prior to the pandemic, the group had just over 16,000 members and almost two years later has grown to over 73,000 members along with 11 Moderators. The group has provided an amazing way for members to learn about new places in and around Omaha and has given restauranteurs a great place to advertise their offerings for free and interact directly with their customers. The group has become about much more than just food. It is about community, giving back and creating relationships. As a group, we have raised over $170,000 ($340,000 with generous matches) during the past two December’s for the Food Bank for the Heartland. It has also spawned an incredible business opportunity with the recent launch of the FoodLovers app!
Congratulations, PDG Fr. Lloyd on your Paul Harris Fellow +6! When asked why he give to The Rotary Foundation. Fr. Lloyd said: "Having worked with other foundations, I have found that the RI Foundation is one of the most efficient foundations, and its scope is worldwide, giving me the opportunity to be involved in worldwide projects."
Lloyd has been a member of the Rotary Club of Omaha since 1983. He has served as chair of many club committees, as well as a member of the Board of Directors and also as Club Secretary in 1993-94 and as Club President in 1999-2000. In 2005-06, he served as District Governor of Rotary District 5650. He has served as co-chair of the Rotary Foundation Permanent Fund. He has also served as chair of the District Finance Committee.
In 1974 he received a BA in French and a Teacher Certification from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, has a Master of Divinity from St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul and was ordained to the priesthood in 1978. Lloyd also received a Master of Science in Secondary Administration from Creighton University in 1984. His professional experience includes teaching assignments in many Catholic schools, assignments in several Catholic parishes, serving as President of two Catholic high schools and as Pastor at three Catholic churches in the Omaha area, as well as serving the Archdiocese of Omaha in many other areas. From 1996 until 2008, he served as Pastor of St. Pius the Tenth Parish. Currently he is Pastor of St. John’s in Valley, NE and President Emeritus of Roncalli Catholic High School in Omaha.

At the Rotary January Board meeting, the board approved the following slate of candidates as recommended by the Nominating Committee composed of IPP John Sullivan (Chair), PP John Ewing, and PP Bill Harvey:
