A Grand Rotary Welcome to Nebraska!
What a wonderful Rotary moment! We had a grand airport welcome for our Rotary Youth Exchange student, Eduard Lungu from Italy, as he arrived in America to begin an exciting year of learning, friendship, cultural discovery, and unforgettable experiences.
Rotary Youth Exchange is one of Rotaryโs most meaningful international programs, bringing young people from around the world into our communities and helping build peace one young person at a time. Through living with host families, attending a local school, making new friends, and becoming part of the community, students gain an understanding of another culture that can stay with them for a lifetime.
Eduard will be attending DC West High School and is beginning his Nebraska adventure with his wonderful host family, Scott and Trina McCollister and family. We are grateful to the McCollisters for opening their home and giving Eduard the opportunity to experience everyday American family life right here in Nebraska.
Over the coming months, we hope our Rotarians will take the opportunity to get to know Eduard, invite him to Rotary activities and community experiences, and help make his year in Nebraska one he will never forget.
Welcome to America, welcome to Nebraska, and welcome to our Rotary family, Eduard! ๐ฎ๐น๐ค๐บ๐ธ
