Chris Tooker was raised in Aurora, Colorado, where he attended Regis Jesuit High School. Scholarships & good fortune brought Chris to Creighton University in Omaha, where he led two teams to the national level of competition as President of the Mock Trial program, managed a $4 million portion of Creighton's endowment, & had the privilege of mentoring 60 younger students as a resident adviser.After graduating summa cum laude with degrees in financial analysis & economics, Chris led financial and operational audits in the Corporate Audit Department for Union Pacific Railroad where he uncovered millions of dollars of unbilled revenue, enhanced project efficiency, and worked with key leadership to ensure successful implementation of recommended process improvements.

In 2014, Chris joined Merrill Lynch (ML) to pursue his passion for financial planning and portfolio management. In 2016, he obtained his Certified Financial Planner designation at the age of 26. In 2018, he became the first person to complete Merrill Lynch’s rigorous financial advisor development program in the Omaha office since 2009 and he went on to earn his Certified Investment Management Analyst designation through The Wharton School.
In 2019, Chris transitioned to Northwestern Mutual to improve his risk management product offerings and provide more comprehensive planning. Additionally, he earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor designation from Chicago Booth’s School of Economics with a concentration on tax-efficient generational wealth transfers including philanthropic gifting strategies and behavioral finance.
He is currently pursuing the Masters of Science in Financial Services degree while teaching CFP® courses at Creighton University.
Outside the office, Chris enjoys meeting new people at charity fundraisers, volunteer projects, or the Field Club of Omaha. Additionally, his family competes in quarter-mile drag races and he is a self-described “Corvette Enthusiast.”
