Greg GilgField Club of Omaha General Manager
Field Club of Omaha General Manager Greg Gilg is a PGA golf professional and Certified Club Manager (CCM) who has led the historic Omaha club since 2019. He was raised in Paxton, Nebraska, later moved to Omaha for high school, and played on a state championship golf team at Skutt Catholic High School before competing collegiately for Creighton University, where he earned degrees in economics and finance.
Gilg began working in club management before graduating from Creighton in 2010. His career included club-management roles in Council Bluffs, Kansas City, and Burlington, Iowa, before returning to Omaha in 2017 as controller of Field Club of Omaha. He was promoted to General Manager at the beginning of 2019.
As GM, Gilg has focused on modernizing the club while attracting younger members and families. Under his leadership, the club expanded family-oriented programming, renovated social spaces, and introduced complimentary golf lessons that significantly increased golf membership participation.
Industry publications have highlighted Gilg’s efforts to reposition private clubs for Millennials and modern family lifestyles. He has emphasized faster rounds of golf, flexible social experiences, and stronger value for members.
Gilg currently serves as General Manager of Field Club of Omaha, one of Nebraska’s oldest private clubs.
