The Omaha Downtown Rotary Club Foundation is looking at projects to benefit from a second $10,000 bequest from the Late Marjorie Eggers Trust. It was Marge's wish to carry on the Egger family's commitment to Rotary and its goals.

Marge passed away on June 11, 2020. She and Jim were married for 71 years. Marge grew up in Pleasantville, Iowa, and Jim grew up on an Iowa farm in a family that didn't have much money (or electricity). He started his business career selling appliances door-to-door.
Jim and Marge cofounded Eggers Consulting in 1967. They were building a successful personnel firm when he joined Rotary at age 52. When you met Jim at a meeting, he always said, 'Hi.' He always knew your name.
They were a fun couple. Marge had a sharp and witty sense of humor that always made everyone smile.
Jim called her his 'Little Sweetheart' and would regale with marital anecdotes, including retelling the' costly' honeymoon trip to Des Moines in 1947.
With their positive attitude towards life, Jim and Marge influenced the lives of their family, employees, and a wide circle of friends.
Giving back was an integral part of Jim's and Marge's life, and their gifts continue the Rotary legacy of the Eggers family.
