The 55th Annual Rotary Club of Humboldt Honors Banquet was held May 11, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.  This banquet recognized the Humboldt High School class of 2016 top 20 academic students and their parents.  The banquet, originally named the Top 20 Banquet, was organized by Rotarians Delmar Cram and Dr. James Coddington in 1962.  It has been an annual event ever since.

Rotarian Greg Darling served as Master of Ceremonies.  Pastor Jerry Raether gave the invocation following the National Anthem performed by Mike Blair, Humboldt High School Music Instructor.

Guest Speaker for the evening was Dallas Clark, 1999 graduate of Twin River Valley High School, University of Iowa graduate and NFL wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts and Super Bowl XLI champions.

Ms. Lori Westhoff, Principal at Humboldt High School, and Mr. Greg Thomas, Assistant Principal, introduced the top academic students and their parents.  They also presented them with a certificate of recognition from the Humboldt Rotary Club.

The evening closed with the Pledge of Allegiance.  Many thanks to Rotarian Jeff Gargano for taking pictures, the Senior Honors Banquet Committee consisting of Greg Darling, Pam Ray and Jana Bratland and all Rotarians and their spouses in attendance.  The evening was a great tribute to our academic Humboldt High School students.
