Park Street Playground Update

The Bar Harbor Bank and Trust's David Harding Golf Tournament was a great success despite the occasional rain. Rotary partnered with the bank so that this year's proceeds would benefit the Park Street Playground project. We're still waiting on the final numbers for the funds raised. Many thanks to Rotarians past and present who helped either organize or volunteered the day of the event. These include Shaun Farrar, Scott Hammond, Dean Read, Lisa Horsch Clark, Judy Holmes, Benni McMullen and Carrie Jones.
This Saturday, several Rotarians gave up a couple hours of their afternoon to help chaperone or take money at the door at the Dance for the Playground, sponsored by FishMaine. The first-of-its-kind end-of-the-school-year event gave part of its proceeds to the Park Street Playground as well. We're still waiting on the numbers there, but we can say a massive thanks to Rotarians (and spouses) Dean Read, Penny Read, Dick Fox, Martha Abbott, Gaylynn Wells, Steven Boucher and Carrie Jones for chaperoning and manning the cash box. If you want secure cash, put Dick and Martha on the doors.
Also, for the month of May, FishMaine Inc donated $723 from sales of the Park Street Pretzel from their restaurants!
