Membership Recruitment

August is membership month. President Sue and Membership Chair Doreen have both set ambitious goals for a net increase to membership. They cannot do it alone.

One of the most important tasks as a Rotarian is to identify and recruit new members to our club to make it stronger and insure sustainability. August, being Membership Month, is a great time to get re-energized to build up our club with solid, qualified members of our community. When was the last time you spoke to someone about joining Rotary or shared an experience you've had that made you proud to be a Rotarian? Wear your Rotarian pride on your sleeve and be sure that somehow, some way you can let them know you're a dedicated Rotarian.

Here's a challenge I am putting out to the members of our club, invite one guest a month or more if you're inclined to share some experience of the MDI/Bar Harbor Rotary Club. Being a guest at a day or night meeting gives the potential applicant an opportunity to see our club as we are and how we interact with each other and share our passion for Rotary.
