Visited with Don Allen, still at Seaport Village, but only until Thursday when he is scheduled to go home. Advance thanks to Scott Hammond and Ron Wrobel who have been regular visitors and will be taking him home.
Don is remarkably upbeat, very happy with the care he has received but more than ready to go home. For those not fully aware, Don fell on the way back from Hannaford's (formerly known as Don's Shop & Save) and suffered serious facial damage, including severe damage to his dentures which has forced him into a soft food diet, causing him to lose 15 pounds. Can you imagine Don 15 pounds lighter? And contrary to popular belief, he has been trending toward ordering the fish for lunch - softer than his usually preferred meat and potatoes.
Don hopes to be back to Rotary soon, but until then you can visit him at home.
