Park Street Playground
The Park Street Playground Project is a joint venture between Rotary and the Mount Desert Island YMCA and was established in the Spring of 2011 to remodel the town playground revitalizing a vital piece of town’s parks.
The mission of the venture is to create a safe and accessible outdoor environment that promotes health, imaginative play and developmental learning for the children of Bar Harbor and the neighboring MDI communities while uniting and strengthening our community by utilizing volunteer labor in a Community-Built Process.
