Ponca City Rotary teamed up with Pioneer Technology Center for the City Arts Fox Project. Local artist Mindy LittleCook brought Pioneer Tech students' vision to life with this amazing steam-punk fox design. 'Edison' represents innovation, teamwork, and the evolution of technology from past to future—symbolizing the spirit of invention and education!"
According to artist, Mindy LittleCook, "the design of the fox was inspired by submissions from four Pioneer Tech students, which evolved
into the Steampunk inspired fox. Steampunk fits well with its focus on learning, technology, mechanics and inventions.
Historically, there were several developments during the Victorian era such as, photography, steamships, electric
lighting, lawn mower, vacuum cleaner and industrial control engineering. Steampunk fits with Pioneer Tech because, in
part, their mission and vision is developing and enhancing lives, and with Rotary International because they promote the
exchange of ideas, take action and goodwill. This fox reflects the idea that technology is ever evolving and changing from
past, present and future eras."

The Pioneer Tech and Ponca City Rotary fox is titled, “EDISON”, in recognition of Mr. Thomas Edison, an
American inventor and businessman. Edison was one of the first inventors to apply the principles of organized science
and teamwork. He established the first industrial research laboratory.

"It seemed fitting that “Edison” is the perfect title for the Steampunk inspired fox. I believe Mr. Thomas Edison would
