Emma VanHoesen, junior at Po-Hi, recently attended RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) camp, where they explored their strengths, practiced leadership skills, and connected with students from across the district. The experience not only built confidence but also created lasting friendships.
Earlier this summer, Emma VanHoesen had the opportunity to attend RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) camp, a program designed to help students discover more about themselves and their potential as leaders. Throughout the week, EV participated in hands-on activities that encouraged self-reflection, teamwork, and creative problem-solving.
The camp focused on building leadership skills by helping students identify their personal strengths and learn how to use those strengths to guide and inspire others. In addition to workshops and team challenges, she connected with students from across the Rotary district. Many of those connections grew into lasting friendships that continue beyond camp.
Emma returned with a renewed confidence, a stronger sense of leadership, and an appreciation for the value of working with others toward a common goal.EV recently attended RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) camp, where they explored their strengths, practiced leadership skills, and connected with students from across the district.
