Mike Roark has been a member of the Edmond, Oklahoma Community for the past 17 years. He has been a Rotarian for the past 15 years and is currently a member of the Edmond Rotary Club where he served on the board for 5 years in the capacity of membership director, secretary, president and immediate past-president.  He has been a member of and served on the board of the AYP (Association of YMCA Professionals) Chapter 71 for the past 15 years; he has served as treasurer, president and past president for the chapter. He is a current board member of the Edmond Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Edmond Chamber of Commerce.  His professional career with the YMCA has a combined tenure of over 21 years.  He is a graduate of the YMCA Executive Development Program, a certified senior director and multi-team leader.  His YMCA career has included sports, fitness and aquatic director positions for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas; Executive Director for the Midwest City YMCA; his current position is District Executive Director over the two Edmond Y locations, and one branch in Guthrie. Mike has served as a mentor for the Executive Preparatory Institute for the YMCA of the USA and participated in the program for over 10 years. This is a nationwide program to work with current and future YMCA Executives.  Mike has coached his children on their youth sports teams through the YMCA and other youth organizations. Crossings Community Church has been his place of worship for the past 16 years, where he and his wife served as Sunday school teachers for 5th and 6th grade boys and girls.  He went to Cameron University on a football scholarship where he received his BBA. He has been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow, 2014 Edmond Rotarian of the Year, AYP director of the year, AYP service award winner and campaign director of the year three different times including 2017. Mike and his wife, Kelly, have been married for over 26 years this month and have a daughter, Kennedy (16 years old) and a son, Bryson (14 years old). They both attend Memorial Highschool.
