She is a marathon runner, a scratch golf player ranked number 1 for 6 years continuously 2000-2006, a number 1 national level squash player to-date & indeed a free-spirited sportswoman.
She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami 2006 and during the year she was awarded the Iron Arrow honor society award. She was also awarded for the best business plan in Manufacturing. She completed her master’s from the CASS Business school in London in the year 2015 and also attended an executive program in Insead on Business Governance.
On completing her bachelor’s degree, she worked for a year with John Hancock financial Network as a consultant. Home was calling soon after and so she returned to Dar in 2007 to join her family business and quickly took charge of managing real estate & property development as well as the milling business. She currently manages a portfolio of office buildings & residential properties and is the CEO of CBD hotel which has 90 beds enroute to the airport.
She joined Rotary in the year 2009 and served a long stint as a secretary for 5 years , simultaneously being a vice president in 2012-13, Foundation director in 2013-15, and held many other roles in the club. She is a multiple Paul Harris fellow.
At the Rotary Dar Marathon – she started as arrivals in charge in 2009, chair for fundraising 2010-11, PR chair – 2012-2018. At the country level she served as our interact chair for three years between 2011-14.
