The Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam successfully launched its fundraising efforts with a spectacular Movie Premiere event. The highly anticipated event took place on Thursday, 13th July, starting at 7 pm and featured the thrilling action movie, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
The fundraiser received tremendous support from the dedicated members of the Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam, as well as from corporate partners, friends, and families. We were delighted to have the longstanding support of Pepsi, our valued corporate partner, who graciously provided complimentary drinks for the occasion.
To commence the event, our President, Anagha Bhattbhatt, delivered a brief address, expressing gratitude to all the patrons who attended and showed their support for our first fundraiser of the year. She also highlighted that the funds collected from this movie premiere would be directly allocated to the Club's community service project, known as the Gift of Education. This project aims to provide desks to primary schools in the Dar es Salaam region, where there is a shortage of proper seating arrangements.
Mehreen, our Service Projects Director and the member who sold the highest number of tickets, conveyed a heartfelt vote of thanks to everyone involved.
The highlight of the evening was, of course, the screening of the movie, which captivated and entertained all attendees.
We extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who participated and supported our first fundraiser for the new Rotary year 2023-24. Your presence and contributions have been instrumental, and we look forward to your continued support in our future endeavors.
