45 % lower risk: How to effectively prevent dementia today | Dr Sonja Mayer

Dementia is not a fate that one must simply accept without taking action. Thirteen modifiable factors account for 45 per cent of our risk of dementia – ranging from hearing loss and high blood pressure to social isolation. This figure changes everything. Because it means that prevention is possible, effective and starts in our everyday lives.

Dr Sonja Mayer, a pharmacist and spokesperson for WIPIG, takes you on a journey through the latest scientific findings and shows how each and every one of us can protect our own brains. She explains why being overweight, having diabetes or a lack of exercise increases the risk – and how small changes can have a big impact.

The talk combines clear facts, practical tips and relatable examples. And it offers encouragement: brain health is something we can shape.

Binding registration by Thursday, 3 September is essential. Please note that attendance is only possible with prior registration.
