Cindy Willis is the Executive Director at Hope Inn Christ located in Decatur. They are an aftercare home for young men coming out of the juvenile system. It was founded by individuals who are volunteers at the Gainesville Texas Youth Commission.
It is a faith-based program that reorients the young men after being incarcerated. Hope Inn Christ has been founded by individuals who are volunteers at the Gainesville Texas Youth Commission (TYC) unit. Many of the youth there have no place to go when they leave. This is when Hope Inn Christ will step in to guide and direct these youth who are committed to living Christian lives. They help them get jobs, learn how to live within rules and prepares them for the rest of their life.
They currently have two living at the home, Brad and Jorge, and can house as many as four. They each told us a little about themselves, how they came to be at Hope Inn Christ and what they are doing now.
Cindy said there were plenty of opportunities to serve at the home.
