Notes from December 11, 2025 by Tommy Richardson
Susan did an outstanding job serenading us with great Christmas tunes. In Cara’s absence, President-Elect Greg Brownfield brought us to order at 12:12. Trestan led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. We skipped our usual sing-along and greeting of our fellow Club members.
Greg introduced our program for today, the Choirs from Legacy and Memorial High Schools. Legacy led off and their selections included “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree”, “The First Noel”, and “Sleigh Ride”. Next the Memorial Choir treated us to “Here We Come A-Caroling”, “What Stars Are Brightly Shining”, and “Merrily On We Go”. Each choir did an outstanding job of entertaining us. Next we were treated to the combined effort of the two choirs as they sang “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.
After the choirs exited the stage, Greg returned to the mic and had our four guests introduced. As part of the Sunshine Report, we were asked to keep Walter Coppage and his family in our thoughts and prayers. Judy Koetter introduced today’s birthday celebrants, Sara Sorge and Jake Munholland, and presented them with birthday cinnamon rolls. Extra cinnamon rolls intended for absent birthday celebrants were auctioned for $25. Noros Martin toured the room with the Brag Bucket and was able to extract cash from at least four of our members.
Greg reminded us of the election on Jan. 8 for new officers and board members. Brady also passed around a sheet for volunteers for interviewing candidates for our Youth of the Month program.
We then dismissed with the Four Way Test at 12:51.
