We began the meeting at 12:10pm by President Cara ringing the bell, then she lead us in prayer; giving thanks for our abilities to be the hands and feet of God through our participation in this Rotary group. Next, Rotarians joined one another in unison as they sang “Let There Be Peace on Earth.”

Visitors and guests were recognized and then the Sunshine Report was given. Next was the Brag Bucket and a Blue Badge Presentation! Recruited in by Alan Donaldson, we welcomed in Brad Rodgers and recognized that he has completed all requirements to receive his status as a blue badge member. Congratulations, Brad!

Announcements were next. Cara passed out a Youth of the Month sign up list and encouraged anyone (especially the red badge members) who has not been a youth of the month judge to sign up for this event. It is a great way to get to know some driven and outstanding young people! A reminder was given that the invitations for the End of Year Party have gone out via email. Please be sure to RSVP no later than June 18th to the Rotary Email letting us know if you will be attending, and if you will be bringing a guest. Guest tickets are $30 a person. A reminder was given that Incoming President, Greg Brownfield, has proposed a change to the bylaws. Copies of the current wording, verses the proposed new wording are on each of the tables for Rotarians to view. They were on the tables last week too, and were emailed out to all members on May 26, 2026. The group will vote on the proposed changes at the June 4th meeting. In summary, it is being proposed that the Board of Directors be able to determine if they need to meet every other month, instead of every month. The board would have discrepancy to call a meeting on the off-months, when necessary. Finally, the June Blood Drive is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for June 18th.

For today’s program, we all conducted a “Serve Instead” event. We invited the Rathgerber Hospitality House back to our meeting. Rotarians brought in and donated needed items and we all made assembly lines to put together care packages for the house guests. Executive Director, Scott Reed, gave us two stories of an example of those who stay at the Rathgerber House, and expressed extreme gratitude for the Club’s generosity. We packed 50 care packages, wrote letters of encouragement, and donated around 10 additional large bags of supplies. Great job, Rotarians!

President Cara dismissed the group at 12:55pm.
