President John Mayfield rang the bell and started the meeting at 12:06 pm. Dave Hartman led the invocation. Treston Teague led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance and in singing If You’re Happy and You Know It.
Alan Donaldson introduced his guest Sara Sorge today.
For those having birthdays, Judy Koetter brought homemade cinnamon rolls that her husband baked. The following had birthdays: Dave Hartman, James Hughes, Carla Dowlen, Carol Murray, Lisa Musick, John Deason, Doug Kunkle, Noel Filer, Judy Koetter, Jeremy Woodward, and Austin Green. We had several who were not in attendance so Josh Phillips started the bidding on cinnamon rolls that were for absent birthday members. Everyone got in on the bidding and the money went into the brag bucket. Thanks Josh for getting the money rolling in. Thanks Judy for homemade cinnamon rolls!

Josh Phillips presented a Rotary check to Fantasy of Lights in the amount of $750. Our Rotary Club has been a sponsor of the Peter Pan exhibit since 1994, making 26 years of support. Wichita Falls is privileged to have the MSU – Fantasy of Lights continue year after year.
Our Area Governor, Clint Wood of the Wichita Falls North Rotary Club introduced our District Governor, Andy Eads of the Cross Timbers Rotary Club for today’s program of an update on District 5790. Andy started on a strong note, saying that we have a lovely venue for our meetings and giving a shout-out to Benay Ayers who is our do everything member. Andy started his talk by saying that ours is the oldest Rotary club he has spoken out. Our charter date is 1/1/1916. We are 108 years old. We presently have 65 members, and he would like for us to have 70 members by the end of our year, next June. There are 25 counties in our district and 64 Rotary Clubs with 2,500 members. Andy married Ginger 31 years ago. Ginger’s mother and father were enthusiastic Rotarians. Through Nana, Ginger’s mother, Andy was exposed to Rotary. Andy suggested that his wife Ginger join a new Rotary Club Andy was helping to start and Ginger became a Charter Member of the Cross Timbers Rotary Club. Andy believes that Rotary does good work around the world. Andy believes that Rotary does more work of the Lord than anyone. Time. Talent. Treasure. That is how we share through Rotary.
On conclusion of the program, John stated that there will be a donation made to the WFISD Foundation in the name of Andy Eads for speaking with us today.
