At 12:05 John brought us to order to start the meeting. Dave Hartman offered a heartfelt invocation. Stacie Cook lead us in the pledge followed by the club singing of America and round of ROTARY.
There were no birthdays but there were several visitors. John Mayfield’s son Joseph, Will Goodner’s wife Michelle, Sam PAC guest of Dave Kelley, and Sue Harrington guest of none other than Dave Hartman.
The Sunshine report was good news and not so good news, Noros was back with us but his knee replacement did not make him any taller and Arnold Oliver’s wife was having a knee or hip replacement.
We were reminded that the Shepard NCO Academy which we support as a club was to hold their graduation this evening. It is a formal dinner and ceremony. Also they assist with the flags on flag days.
Brag time recognized David Kelley for his young grandson as he is becoming very mobile per David and John mentioned that his son received a special recognition.
Pres John then introduced the program as our very own past president Stacie Cook and her husband James. He sang with Stacie accompanying him several songs with a Valentine theme most which he wrote. If you look on line you will see that he has a webpage showing many different locations and venues including April 11 (parents 50th anniversary) in Wichita Falls. It should be noted that he does it all as he writes many of the songs as well as singing them. He is releasing a single called “Is That All You Got “ ahead of a new album (Texas Velvet) in the near future. His most recent album called “inside out” was released in December. Most of his music can be found on most streaming services. With his original band he traveled all over the world. More recently he travels mostly in and around Texas. Could Stacie have something to do with that?
