2012 Bowls of Sharing

Kathy Tacke and Karen Bonomo are putting together a basket for the raffle that Bowls of Sharing event, taking place March 22nd at the Sweetwater County Events Center.
 

Bowls of Sharing is a non-profit organization focused on: 
1.  Raising funds for Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen and the YWCA Support and Safe House
2.  Increasing awareness of Cushing's Syndrome
3.  Honoring memory of Kathy Crabtree, co-founder of Local Color
4.  Bringing the community together

Potters create unique bowls to donate for the fundraiser. With the purchase of a bowl comes a ticket for a free meal of soup, salad, bread, dessert and drink at the Sweetwater Events Center in March. The all-you-can eat meal consists of many different donated soups and other delectables.


To participate, purchase a $15 'soup ticket' from Local Color then select a handcrafted bowl from our extensive collection.  In addition, we have a $5 ticket for children 10 and under which entitles them to just the meal.  Take the ticket and your bowl to the Sweetwater Events Center night of the Bowls of Sharing dinner and raffle to enjoy your dinner.


Area artisans, organizations and individuals donate prizes for a raffle held the night of the Bowls of Sharing. Raffle items are displayed in the hospitality room at the Local Color Gallery starting February 15th. Bowls and raffle tickets go on sale at that time and can be purchased anytime including the night of the Bowls of Sharing dinner and raffle.
